New Delhi: Lexus India unveiled its fifth-generation RX SUV at Auto Expo 2023. This mid-size hybrid SUV was introduced in two variants: RX 350h Luxury and RX 500h F-Sport+. The ex-showroom prices of these variants are INR 95.80 lakh and INR 1.18 crore, respectively. Now, Lexus India has started delivering the entry-level variant of the RX 350h across the country.
Engine and Gearbox:
The Lexus RX 350h is equipped with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine combined with an electric motor. This engine generates a power output of 248 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. According to the company, the RX 350h achieves a speed of 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h.
Lexus RX 500h:
The new Lexus RX 500h F-Sport+ comes with a hybrid electric system and a 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine. It delivers 366 horsepower and 460 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. It comes with a standard all-wheel-drive system.

Navin Soni, President of Lexus India, stated, “We are delighted with the tremendous response we have received from our customers for the new Lexus RX. Bookings for the new RX have been more than double our total sales in the past five years from January to June 2023.” He also mentioned, “We are working towards starting deliveries of the RX 500 soon. We are grateful to our customers for their patience and understanding.”
Competition:
The Lexus RX 350h competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLE, which features a 4.0 L, V8 engine generating 504 horsepower.
