New Delhi: Tata Motors has launched the Nexon EV Max electric SUV in Nepal. The Indian auto company has introduced the 7.2 kW version of the Nexon EV in the neighboring country. The ex-showroom price of Tata’s electric SUV in Nepal is 46 lakh Nepali rupees. Tata Motors has launched the Nexon EV Max in India only last year. Its dark edition has also made an entry recently. The ex-showroom price of the powerful EV Max in the Indian market ranges from Rs 18.34 lakh to Rs 19.84 lakh.
The Nexon EV Max launched in Nepal is similar to the model sold in India. It will get the power of 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. According to ARAI, its single charge range is 453 km. This means that Tata’s electric SUV will cover a distance of 453 km once fully charged.
Full charge in 56 minutes
Tata Nexon EV Max can accelerate to 100 kmph in just 9 seconds. The Nexon EV Max introduced in Nepal comes with a 7.2 kW fast charger. With this, this car gets fully charged in 6.5 hours. If a 50 kW DC fast charger is used, then the Nexon EV Max gets charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 56 seconds.
Tata’s third EV in Nepali market
Tata Nexon EV Max is the third car of the company to be sold in Nepal. Tata Motors already sells Nexon EV and Tigor EV in Nepal. A boom has been seen in the sale of electric vehicles in the neighboring country. That’s why Tata can definitely get the benefit of this growth. After the launch of Nexon EV Max, the company is expecting a better response.
Expensive or cheaper than India?
As mentioned earlier, the ex-showroom price of the Nexon EV Max that has been launched in Nepal is 46 lakh Nepali rupees. According to the Indian currency, this price works out to around Rs 28.73 lakh. On the other hand, its ex-showroom price in India is Rs. 18.34-19.84 lakhs. From this point of view, the Nexon EV Max is quite expensive in Nepal.
