Hyundai has officially announced the launch of the Creta EV in India for January 2025, signaling a notable extension of their electric vehicle range. Production of this electric version of the renowned Creta will commence at Hyundai’s Chennai plant by late 2024. Geared to rival upcoming models such as the Tata Curvv EV and the Maruti Suzuki eVX, the Creta EV is strategically positioned to seize a significant portion of the rapidly growing electric SUV market.

Expect the Creta EV to heavily utilize the proven technology from the Kona Electric, incorporating a single motor setup. This setup will provide 138 horsepower and 255Nm of torque, delivering strong performance ideal for urban and suburban environments. The vehicle will come equipped with a 45kWh battery pack, offering a competitive range suitable for daily commuting and weekend trips.
