The renowned South Korean automaker is set to unveil an updated version of its popular i20 hatchback. A sneak peek of this fresh model was shared on Friday through a teaser on social media, specifically a snapshot of the car’s front grille, posted on the company’s Instagram account.
With its new grille, the 2023 Hyundai i20 boasts a striking appearance. The launch date and pricing details for this revamped hatchback are yet to be revealed by the company.
The updated model comes with several enhancements, including a reworked front bumper with two substantial arrow-shaped inlets on either side. Its front design has been widened, resembling that of the company’s Verna. The lower section of the car sports a contrast black finish.

The 2023 Hyundai i20 is equipped with all-LED lights, featuring a 2D design, faux rear diffuser, repositioned reflectors, and a dual-tone finish on the rear bumper. Alloy wheels are part of the package, and there’s speculation that dual-tone options will be offered.
One standout feature in the Hyundai i20 facelift is the inclusion of a dual dashcam, allowing video recording while on the road. This feature enhances security by aiding in the prevention of car theft and road accidents. The car also boasts robust features like a digital cluster, ADAS for safety, and airbags.
The 2023 Hyundai i20 packs a punch with 83 horsepower, thanks to a robust 1.2-liter engine. The car offers a three-cylinder engine and an option for a turbo engine, expected to be available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
In the market, the 2023 Hyundai i20 will compete with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz. The existing model of the i20 on the market features amenities like an air purifier and a reverse camera, and it achieves a mileage of 21.0 kmpl. The starting price for this car in the market is Rs 7.46 lakh ex-showroom.
