South Korean carmaker Hyundai has introduced a new Knight edition of its Exter. Priced at Rs 8.38 lakh ex-showroom, this variant features a new black color with red highlights. The top variant of the Knight edition costs Rs 10.43 lakh ex-showroom.
Several interior upgrades distinguish this edition from its predecessor. The front bumper and tailgate alloy feature a dual-tone color scheme. Inside, the car showcases a sleek all-black theme with striking red accents. It includes new upholstery with footwell lighting, black interior door handles and steering wheel, a metal scuff plate, floor mats with red stitching, and seats adorned with red stitching and piping.
The new Hyundai Exter Knight edition offers the following color choices:
- Starry Night
- Abyss Black with Shadow Grey
- Atlas White paired with Ranger Khaki
The Hyundai Exter retains its engine power unchanged. It features a 1.2-liter engine that produces 82 bhp. Known for its high speed capabilities, it reaches a top speed of approximately 150 kmph. The car comes in five trim levels and includes alloy wheels along with an 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system.
The Hyundai Exter offers both manual and automatic transmission options, with automatic being simpler to drive on roads compared to manual. It includes rear parking sensors and six airbags for safety. The car is equipped with hill hold control and an advanced driver assistance system. It features LED lights and a 5-speed gearbox for quick acceleration. In the market, the Hyundai Exter competes with models like the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
The Tata Punch starts at Rs 7.54 lakh on the road for its base model, while the top model is priced at Rs 12.85 lakh on the road. It is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. The car also offers a CNG engine option, with the company claiming a mileage of 26.99 km/kg for the CNG version and 20.09 kmpl for the petrol version. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and offers both manual and automatic transmissions.
