New Delhi: Hyundai Motor is all set to launch its updated Creta SUV at the beginning of the new year. This new model can be launched in India from Delhi Auto Expo in January 2023. Along with this, its prices are also likely to be revealed in this show. The new 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift was first showcased at the GIIAS 2021 Motor Show. Significant changes have been made in its design and interior. While the engine and gearbox will remain the same as the current model.
There will be a change in the design
The new Creta will get a completely new front with a brand new parametric grille, which will be slightly repositioned with much wider and LED DRLs. Also, more square headlamps will be seen in it. The front bumper has also been changed, with a thinner and wider air-inlet. The slightly tweaked boot lid and bumper along with the sharper taillamps give a refreshing look to the rear profile. The taillamp cluster has two vertical creases on each side.
Features
The biggest feature update in the new Creta will be in the form of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes autonomous emergency braking for forward collision avoidance, blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist. Many safety features will be available. The new 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will get an updated and larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Hyundai’s Blue Link connected car technology has also been updated. Now, it is equipped with features like stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle location and valet parking mode. All these can be accessed through a smartphone. The new Creta will also get features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, cooled front seats and air purifier.
Engine
The new 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will also get the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines as the current Creta. Some reports also suggest that Hyundai may introduce a CNG version of the Creta with the mid-life update. The SUV comes with 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, 7-speed DCT automatic, CVT automatic and iMT gearbox options.
How much will it cost
Currently, the current Creta SUV is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 10.44 lakh to Rs 18.24 lakh. With better styling, advanced safety technology and new features, the prices of the facelifted version are likely to increase. Its ex-showroom price is likely to be between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 18.50 lakh.
