One of the most popular bikes in the Honda Line-up, the Unicorn 160 has received a new update yet again with a more High Tech OBD2B compliant engine and new features. Beyond that the bike is same as before, but would the new engine be able to defeat the mileage of the previous model lets find out.
Update Details
The Unicorn has been in the Indian market for more than two decades and even after being sold for such a long period the bike has showcased a steady demand in the market. Being witness to such a steady demand Honda has updated the vehicle with new features such as a OBD2B compliant engine, a LED headlamp and a new digital instrument cluster that has a gear position indicator.
Honda Unicorn New Features
The bike now also gets a USB-C Charger and is now available in 5 new colours. Beyond that Honda has hiked up the prices of the bike by 7,000 Rs due to the updates that the bike has received. The bike would now be able to conform to stricter emission norms and become future proof for a few years ahead.
Honda Unicorn Changes in Pricing
The previous model was priced around Rs 1.12 lakh , while the newer vehicle would be priced at around Rs 1.19 lakh. India has a big commuter bike segment and hence the Unicorn has showcased a constant demand in the market over the years.
Other Updated Honda Vehicles
Other then the Unicorn 160 two wheelers such as the Honda Activa 125 was also updated with a new TFT display. The new prices of the Honda Activa are around 94,442.
More Mileage
The bike would be able to provide an even better mileage than the outgoing model with the new more efficient OBD2B compliant engine. The outgoing model used to give about 50kmpl mileage but its apparent that the new model would get better mileage with the more strict emission conformity.
