Honda is gearing up to launch the all new SUV tomorrow. The car has been seen testing and has been witnessed several times before its launch tomorrow. The Elevate has already been on sale and now Honda is planning to launch the dark edition.
The car was recently seen being tested, the car is supposed to be launch on january 7. The car would have two variants the Elevate Black Edition as well as Elevate signature Black Edition. The test vehicle that was spotted earlier seemed to be ready for release. The car would supposedly be priced Rs 75,000 higher than the standard model.
Changes In The Exterior
Both the new variants would have a completely black exterior with gloss black rims. The car would have new chrome accents on the exterior and the upper grill of the vehicle. The car would also have silver finishes on the roof as well as the door sections. Unlike the lower variants of the Elevate the car would have a full leatherette interior for a premium feel.
The Engine
The car would be powered by the same engine as before. It would be a 121 bhp producing 1.5 litre four cylinder unit. Whether the buyers be able to buy the black edition with a CVT and a manual transmission would get clearer with time.
Honda Elevate Features
The car would have the same features as that of the top variants of the Honda Elevate. the vehicle would have a single pane sunroof, Automatic headlamps, wipers and a semi digital infotainment cluster with a7 inch TFT display. The vehicle would also have a ADAS suite for added safety.
Pricing Of The Vehicle
While the prices of the car would be released tomorrow its possible that the car might have a price tag of around Ts 17.02 lakh and upwards. Since the black edition would be placed above the top model the vehicle would be priced higher than the other variants that are available in the range. Honda had previously also launched a new Apex version that did pretty well considering the overall spread of the vehicles in the lineup.
Competitors
The car would compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, Mg Astor, Skoda kushaq and Taigun. As of now Hyundai Creta is the leader of the segment with higher sales than any of the competitors in the segment.
