New Delhi: Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has recently entered the most popular 100cc commuter segment by launching its new Shine 100 commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. Today we are going to tell you the complete details about this new bike.
Got a brand new engine
The most attractive thing about the Honda Shine 100 is its new fuel-injected 99.7cc engine, which produces 7.61hp power and 8.05Nm torque. This bike is going to increase the competition in the 100cc segment. Although the power of the Shine is 0.5hp less than the Hero motorcycle. This engine is also OBD-2 compliant and supports E20 fuel. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
Chassis of Honda Shine 100
The Shine 100 gets a new diamond-type frame which has been specially designed for the bike. It has been given a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Drum brakes have been given on both its wheels. It weighs less than 100 kg and the seat height is 786 mm. Along with this, ground clearance of 168 mm is also available in it.
How are the features?
Being an entry level bike, it does not get many features. It gets an analogue instrument cluster with a simple halogen headlight. There is no disc brake in it. However, it has been given combi-braking system, fuel-injection and auto-choke system.

Booking and delivery
The company has started booking for its new Honda Shine 100. Honda will start production of this bike from next month, while customers will start receiving its deliveries in May.

Honda has launched its new Shine 100 at an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 64,900. It is a great package in the 100cc commuter segment with this price point.

This bike competes with bikes like Hero HF 100, Hero Splendor+ and Bajaj Platina 100. Hero HF 100 is available in 1 variant and 2 color options in the market. It gets a 97.2 cc BS6 engine.
