New Delhi: Honda Cars India has disclosed its sales figures for July 2022. The Indian arm of the Japanese automaker managed to sell 6,784 units in July 2022, representing a year-on-year growth of 12 percent. In the same period last year, the company’s domestic sales were 6,055 units.
According to Honda Cars India, its export figures for July 2022 are 2,104 units, while it exported 918 units in July 2021. Comparing Honda’s sales performance on a MoM basis, the company’s sales fell by 13.4 percent as it managed to sell 7,834 vehicles in the domestic market in June 2022.

Yuichi Murata, Head of Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., shared his thoughts on July 2022 sales performance: “Over the last few months, we have seen a good demand trend across the entire model line. Unfortunately, the ongoing chip shortage continues to affect and slow down our deliveries. We are diligently adapting our production to meet demand as quickly as possible.”
He further added, “On a cumulative basis, HCIL’s revenue grew by 40% over last year. As the festive season approaches, we hope that demand will continue to be strong and bring much-needed festive cheer to the industry after a challenging situation last year.” Honda Cars India’s current product portfolio includes the Amaze, WR-V, Jazz and several versions of the City.
