New Delhi: Honda has finally released the first set of images of its all-new Prologue electric SUV, which has been developed in collaboration with General Motors. This new SUV will first go on sale in North America sometime in 2024.

Honda Prologue: What is it?

The Prologue is built on the GM Ultium platform, which also underpins electric SUVs like the Cadillac Lyriq, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Hummer. Honda calls the Prologue a “neo rugged” SUV.

The Prologue has a wheelbase that is 203mm longer and 127mm wider than the new Honda CR-V. The SUV rides on 21-inch wheels and the nose is inspired by the Honda e city electric car as it has a large black stripe.

At the rear, the Honda logo gives way to the full brand name and also includes the “e:” series badge. Prologue will offer an exclusive paint called North Shore Pearl, which is inspired by the “natural beauty and colors near Lake Tahoe, California.”

Inside, an 11.3-inch central touchscreen joins the 11-inch digital instrument display, and interior colors draw inspiration from mountain snow. The Prologue will be a key model for Honda in the US as the country phases out new diesel cars by 2025 and new petrol cars by 2030.
