Honda Recalls Cars: Honda Cars India’s recall campaign now covers 90,468 additional units of select models to replace defective fuel pumps. The recall further encompasses 2,204 vehicles that had undergone fuel pump replacement as a spare part in the past. The recalled vehicles are fitted with faulty impellers, which may cause problems like engine failure or starting issues over time.
The recall impacts certain units of the Amaze, Brio, BR-V, City, Jazz, and WR-V models, manufactured between September 2017 and June 2018. Honda has announced that the replacement process will commence on November 5, 2024, at authorized dealerships, and will be executed in a phased manner. The company is contacting affected vehicle owners directly, and all necessary repairs will be provided at no cost to the owner.

Honda Recalls 90,000 Cars: Affected Models
The Honda City tops the list with 32,872 units affected, followed closely by the Amaze with 18,851 units and the Jazz with 16,744 units. The recall also affects 14,298 units of the WR-V, 4,386 units of the BR-V, and 3,317 units of the Brio. Furthermore, 2,204 vehicles from various models, such as the Civic and Accord, which had already received part replacements, are also included in the recall campaign.

Honda has created a dedicated microsite on its official website, allowing customers to check if their vehicle is affected by the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Owners who purchased fuel pump assemblies from Honda’s authorized dealerships between June 2017 and October 2023 through retail sales are advised to contact the dealerships for further inspection and confirmation.
