Honda has become synonymous with Honda Activa ever since then they have been able to revolutionize the Indian market. Based on a few patents that the brand has recently filed in India it seems Honda is planning to expand its portfolio in India. The Brand had patented NX125, Honda Beat and NPF 125 in the last few weeks. But as per the leaks right now the manufacturer is planning to patent the internationally available NWX 125 in India.
Honda NWX 125- New Edgy Aesthetics
The style of the new scooter would be very different than that of the current generation scooters. The scooter would be available in a few shades , the shard headlights along with a DIO like construction where the headlight is mounted on the front apron give the scooter a mesmerizing appearance. Beyond that the sporty graphics as well as the easy riding position such scooters are known for would make the scooter a success in India.
Performance Specs And Variants
The Honda NWX 125 would be powered by a 124cc, air cooled engine that generates 9.5 Ps and a peak torque of around 10 NM. the scooter would have a performance enhancing eSP tech and fuel saving idling stop and go system that would allow the scooter to provide better mileage than the competitors in the same segment. To further make it easier for riders the seat height of the new possible launch would be around 760 mm.
The NWX 125 weighs around 104 kg, with a ground clearance of around 133mm. Internationally in the Chinese market 3 variants of the scooter are available. The base version has a drum brake setup while the higher up models have a combi break system. The base model is priced around Rs 1.13 lakh. The scooter would go against rivals such as TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Bergman, Yamaha Fascino and Xoom 125. Although as per Rushlane who have reported about the patent leak the patent could simply be a ip Protection Exercise.
Beyond the present set of scooters that have been included in the line up Honda might soon upgrade the whole line up soon. These could possibly include the Nwx 125 as well as the scooters such as NPF 125.
