One of the country’s most trusted two-wheeler commuters, the Honda Shine 125, is now much more affordable following the implementation of the all-new GST 2.0 reforms. As per media reports, the prices of the 125 model have dropped by up to Rs 7,443 depending on the variant. The change has led to a surge in demand across the domestic market.
Introduced in February 2025, the latest Shine 125 has always been a dominant player in the commuter segment, thanks to its reliability, fuel efficiency, and ease of handling. With the revised taxation structure now in effect, the drum brake variant has been priced at Rs 78,539, while the disc brake variant has been priced at Rs 82,898.
A comparison of the prices before the GST reforms and the new prices reveals that the drum brake variant has received a price cut of Rs 6,687. Similarly, the disc variant has seen a reduction of Rs 7,058.
The all-new Honda Shine 125 is powered by a 123.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 10.63 hp and 11 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox
Price Reductions- Scooter Segment
In terms of price reductions in the scooter segment, the Jupiter is now priced at Rs 72,400, down from the previous price of Rs 78,881, while the Jupiter 125 is available at Rs 75,600 compared to the previous price of Rs 82,395. The Ntorq series sees the 125 cc variant priced at Rs 80,900, and the 150 cc version now priced at Rs 1,09,400.
The commuter bikes that sell in high volumes have seen a slew of benefits as well. Models like the Radeon and Sport are both now priced at Rs 55,100, down from the previous price of Rs 59,950 each. The Raider is now available at a price of Rs 80,500, reduced from the previous price of Rs 87,625.
