In such a situation, many popular companies are also preparing to enter the electric two-wheeler segment. It is believed that in the coming 4 months this year, big companies like Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki, Yamaha as well as Honda are preparing to launch their electric scooters. The news is going on that in the coming few months, Honda may launch an electric variant of its best selling scooter Activa. However, the company has not given any information about this.

A few months back, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) President Atsushi Ogata had said that the company would launch the first electric vehicle in the next financial year. Since then, speculation continues that Honda Activa Electric may be launched soon. It is believed that since Activa is the best selling in its segment, the company can also launch an electric scooter under this name. The Honda Activa has the potential to offer good battery range as well as good speed, as it has to compete with a good range of scooters from other companies including Ola and Simple Energy.
