Honda has recently unveiled its all new electric scooter range for masses. The manufacturers unveiled two new models: Honda Activa e and QC 1. In this article we’ll compare the newly launched Activa e and the existing TVS iQUBE.
Honda Activa e Vs TVS iQUBE: Design
Honda electric scooter is built on the same platform as of the existing Activa on sale. It has the similar design and also comes with sleek LED combination in the front as well rear. This LED setup gives it a futuristic look.
The TVS iQube has very sleek and futuristic design. It has got the similar LED setup at the both ends.
Honda Activa e Vs TVS iQUBE: Powertrains
The Honda Activa e is powered by two swappable battery packs. The motor produces an output of 4.2 KW and a maximum output of 6 KW. Activa e can achieve upto a claimed range of 102km which sufficient for daily commuters.
The TVS iQUBE on the other hand is powered by a 3.4kWh lithium- ion battery which gives out 5.9 bhp and a peak torque of 33nm. However this iQUBE gives out a range of 105km in Eco mode, and 75km in Power mode. TVS also claims a top speed of 78 kmph.
Dimensions
The Honda Activa e comes with a ground clearance of 171 mm, and an overall length of 1854 mm. It is 700 mm wide, 1125 mm in height and has wheelbase of 1310 mm.
The TVS iQUBE is 1805 mm in length, 645 mm in width, 1140 mm in height. it comes along with a wheelbase of 1301 mm and a ground clearance of 157 mm.
The TVS iQUBE comes at a price of Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes upto Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom). However, Honda has not revealed the pricing yet but it is expected to be priced around Rs 1 lakh.
In conclusion, it comes down to one’s personal preference, both the electric scooters are excellent choice. However, Honda has more extensive network of their sales and services and has the reliability factor associated with its name.
