But in the recent time Bajaj sought to bring in a new EV version of the The Bajaj Chetak. The EV version of the Chetak is powered by a 4.2 kW motor. This motor gives a claimed range of 123 km per charge and the top speed is limited upto 63 km/h. Compared to The Honda Activa-E – the latter is powered by two swappable battery packs. The motor produces an output of 4.2 KW and a maximum output of 6 KW. Activa-E can achieve up to a claimed range of 102km which sufficient for daily commuters.
Honda Activa-E
The Honda Activa-E name has been synonymous with the gearless scooter commuter segment in India. Witnessing the change in trends and the shift of the market towards EV based vehicles, Honda has launched their new Honda Activa-E as well as a QC1 for the market.
The bookings of both the vehicles have been initiated and interested buyers can book the vehicle for the sum of 1000 Rs. The Activa-E is the flagship vehicle amongst the two. It has been laden with features such as a TFT Display, Bluetooth Connectivity, Incoming Call Alerts and Navigation on the Top End Variant. Rather than just launching a new vehicle, Honda has had the foresight to establish a charging station network all along India. The vehicle is delivered with a set of two batteries each being 1.5 KWH, so that total capacity of the vehicle is around 3KWH. As per the official reports the users would be able to charge the batteries at Honda’s Own Battery Swapping stations.
TVS I-QUBE
Launched in 2020, the TVS I-QUBE is available in different variants. These include a I-Qube, I-Qube s as well as a I-Qube ST. The I-Qube is available with two battery options the 2.2 KWH as well as a 3.4 KW battery pack. Beyond that the I-Qube S only has a 3.4 KWH battery pack and the St has a 3.4 KWH as well as a 5.4 KWH battery pack. The driving range of the different variants is different and vary between 75 to a 150 km’s for the top variant
