Hero has been a formidable name in the two-wheeler segment in India over the years their two-wheelers have been able to provide users with easy mobility at the most affordable prices. But with the overall shift of the industry towards EV’s the brand is now looking forward to expanding its EV Portfolio. Only recently did the brand showcased its bid to go electric in the affordable electric scooter segment with the new Hero Vida lineup. The vehicle was to be launched in three variants the LITE, Plus, and Pro. But as of now, it seems that the brand might be planning to expand the portfolio even further, as a new test mule of an updated version of the scooter was seen testing. 

Hero’s Long Term Plans

With the increasing competition in the market the brand seemingly wants to carve a proportion of followers for their products. The Prototype that was seen in testing was finished in a Single Yellow shade. We could witness the LED headlamp and LED tail lamp signature and sleek LED turn indicators as well. The suspension as well as the alloy wheels seem to have been carried over from the already existing models. 

Cosmetic changes

One of the biggest changes that became apparent on the surface was the single-tone colorway that was seen on the scooter. The side profile of the vehicle was slightly tweaked. As of yet, we are not aware as to what battery pack might power the scooter but before the current test mule sighting the V2 lite features a 2.2 KWH battery with a claimed range of 94 Km and the V2 plus has been equipped with a 3.44 KWH battery pack as well. The range-topping V2 Pro is powered by a 3.94 KWH battery with a range of around 165 Km. 

One of the standout features of all the variants would be the removable battery that would reduce the range anxiety of the buyers. Beyond that all variants would be available with a TFT display, LED lighting, Keyless operation, Cruise Control as well as Regen braking. While Four Ride modes are offered in the pro variants.
