Hero has witnessed a formidable success with their new models such as the Impulse adventure as well as the Xpulse. But a recent sighting has revealed that Hero might be in the pursuit of launching an all-new Xpulse or Impulse 160 cc as a commuter as well as a adventure off-roader. As per a recent sighting, it has been elucidated that Hero Might be exploring the possibility of bringing a small capacity off roader.
The spotted bike had the same design accents and features as that of the Xpulse 210. The Xpulse seemed much smaller and rather nimbler than that of the current Xpulse 210. The Engine that was seen on the test vehicle was different from that of the current 210 cc air cooled engine that is available on the Xpulse 210. Although it’s a rumour it’s possible that the power mill of the test mule might be a 160cc single cylinder air cooled unit. The Unit could be the same as we have seen on the 160R 4V version that produces 16.9 PS of peak power and 14.6 Nm of peak torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Changes Over 210CC Model
The feeble brake discs as well as the missing oil cooling radiator further signaled towards the possibility of the bike being a 160CC Xpulse. The Xpulse would have the same design as that of the current Xpulse 200. The Xpulse 160 could have the same suspension setup as that of the older models that have been on sale before.
Hero might place the bike as an impulse successor and might even name it accordingly. Since the brand has not confirmed any of the details themselves it’s possible that such a bike might not make it to the final stages of production and hero might just be benchmarking the performance of the new 160Cc engine in a new chassis. But since Hero has been able to achieve great success in the 160cc segment it’s possible that the Xpulse might be launched in the 160cc segment all over again.
