Hero Motor corporation has been a stalwart in providing the citizens of India with easy mobility. For years they have been able to provide affordable mobility to masses in India with vehicles like Splendor and various other bikes. While the manufacturer had been planning to continue with the current line up with the addition of newer vehicles it now seems that there would be a change in the plans.
The Automaker is now set to launch its new EV bikes in the market. As per news updates the manufacturer has lined up dozens of new models over the next 2 to 3 years. The new models cover a large variety of different segments and have been similarly priced. These might include entry level bikes to dirt bikes and high performance electric motorcycles.
Hero Motorcorp And Splendor EV
Splendor has been such a success that its has become a synonym for the brand identity itself. The product has been under development at its technology center in, CIT Jaipur for nearly two years. The bike would possibly be launched in 2027.
As per news reports by Auto Car Hero has expansive plans for the electric motorcycle. Beyond the Splendor the company is also looking to launch a new Vida Lynx in 2026. The electric dirt bike would possibly be sold around 10,000 units annually. This model would be aimed at developed international markets. the bikes recent trademark documents were leaked as well.
Mainstream Electric Bikes
Beyond the splendor and the other bikes hero is also planning to launch new electric mainstream bikes as well. The new project has been aimed at commuter segment as well as daily and business users. Beyond that the manufacturer also plans to bring in new 150cc as well as 250cc ICE models.
The company has a fervent history of giving people the gift of easy mobility and would possible do it all over again with their EV models. The company is eyeing over half a million units annually from the electric vehicles themselves.
