New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp, the Indian giant in the two-wheeler market, has launched the country’s best-selling bike Splendor Plus in the market in a new Silver Nexus Blue color option. The ex-showroom price of this commuter bike is Rs 70,658. After the addition of this new color option, this bike is now available for sale in a total of 6 colors.

Hero Splendor Plus is now available in 6 color options like Heavy Gray with Green, Black with Silver, Matte Shield Gold, Black with Sports Red, Black with Purple, Silver Nexus Blue. Apart from the colours, everything else remains the same in this bike. On an average 2.5 lakh units of this bike are sold in India every month.

Hero Splendor Plus Engine

Hero’s commuter bike is powered by a 97.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces a maximum power of 7.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The bike is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox with i3S idle start/stop system.

Features and Price

Drum brakes are seen in both the wheels of this bike, as well as the Splendor has also been equipped with an integrated braking system. Telescopic front forks and dual spring-loaded rear shock absorbers are provided in this bike.

The starting ex-showroom price of Hero Splendor Plus in the country is Rs 70,658 while its high end variant is available for Rs 72,978. Recently this bike was introduced in a new high tech version called Hero Splendor XTEC.
