New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp has reduced the prices of its popular Vida V1 electric scooter by Rs 25,000. Now the entry-level variant of Vida V1 Plus variant costs Rs 1.03 lakh, while the ex-showroom price of its Pro variant is Rs 1.20 lakh. These prices are inclusive of FAME II subsidy.

Powertrain

The Vida V1 electric scooter gets a swappable battery pack, with the V1 Plus offering a range of 143 km with a 3.44kWh battery pack and the V1 Pro offering a range of 165 km with a 3.94kWh battery pack. The V1 Pro and V1 Plus can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.2 seconds and 3.4 seconds respectively. Their maximum speed is 80 km per hour. The electric motor fitted in it generates 6kW (8bhp) power and 25Nm torque. The new Vida V1 gets 3 ride modes namely Eco, Ride and Sport. The top-spec V1 Pro also gets a custom mode, in which more than 100 adjustments can be made. The scooter also gets Limp Mode, which reduces its speed by up to 20 kmph when the battery is below 10%. It has two removable battery packs, which can be charged at home. The V1 Plus battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 5 hours and 15 minutes and the V1 Pro battery in 5 hours and 55 minutes.
