Hero MotoCorp has unveiled a series of two-wheelers at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e-Accessori (EICMA) in Milan, an annual trade show for motorcycles. Hero MotoCorp has become a prominent name at EICMA in recent years.
As the largest Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp always brings something new to the stage. At this year’s ongoing motorcycle show, Hero unveiled the Vida Z electric scooter, Hero Xpulse 120, Hero Xtreme 250R, and Hero Karizma XMR 250. These four models will soon be available on the roads in both the Indian and international markets. Hero MotoCorp consistently raises high expectations, making it a truly global brand.
Vida Z electric scooter
At EICMA, Hero unveiled its first product, The Vida Z electric scooter. The scooter seems to be different from the older series of the electric scooters of Hero V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Watching the images we can observe a very unique design which is different from the current range of Vida scooters. Vida Z is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). The unique motor draws power from a wide range of removable battery option from 2.2kWh to 4.4 kWh.
Hero has not given any specific details about Vida Z, there are no such statemen where we can see the power and torque output from the motor or range on offer in a single charge. The new e-scooter is expected to be packed with all the modern tech, such as touch-enabled TFT instrument, that allows geofencing, vehicle health monitoring, and over the air (OTA) updates to name a few.
Hero Xpulse 210
The second motorcycle revealed by Hero MotoCorp was the new-gen Xpulse 210, which comes with an upgraded engine and hardware. The bike is powered by a 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the Karizma XMR 210. It delivers 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox and a slipper assist clutch provide a smooth and refined riding experience.
The Hero Xpulse 210 features fully adjustable upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, with 210mm and 205mm of travel, respectively. Key features also include a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console, switchable ABS modes, and 210mm ground clearance. The new Xpulse also offers an optional rally kit for serious off-road enthusiasts.
Hero Xtreme 250R
The new Hero Extreme 250R is on the concept of 2.5 Xtunt concept bike which was showcased at EICMA 2023 and followed by World Hero Day at the start of 2024.
New Xtreme 250R is a flagship lineup in the Hero Xtreme range.
The bike is powered by a brand new 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, Kicking out 29 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque. The naked street-fighter has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The new Xtreme 250R can go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.25 seconds.
Hero Karizma XMR 250
Every 90’s kid favourite, Hero’s Karizma brand brand of sports tourers with the new Karizma XMR 210 in August last year. Hero extended the range with the Karizma XMR 250. The brand new bike is based on the same underpinnings as Xtreme 250R. Powered by the same brand new 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, 29 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque, a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
