Hero Celebrates 125 Million Milestone with Exclusive Splendor+, Passion+, and Vida VX2 Special Editions

Hero is celebrating its milestone of 125 million units sold by launching special edition versions of the Splendor+, Passion+, and Vida Vx2 with cosmetic updates and exclusive 3D plaques, while retaining their original mechanical features.

Hero is nothing short of a stalwart in India’s two-wheeler industry. The inception of the brand came from a joint venture between Hero and Honda, and the first result of their collaboration was the iconic CD 100, launched in 1985. In the 41 years since the bike's debut, Hero is now celebrating a major milestone—125 million units sold. To commemorate this journey, the company has launched special edition versions of the Splendor+, Passion+, and Vida Vx2.

Hero’s 125 Million Edition Celebration

Hero quickly rose to become one of the highest-selling two-wheeler brands in India. It reached 1 lakh riders in 1994, and soon after launched the best-selling Splendor. The brand then crossed the 1 million unit milestone and introduced the Passion series. In 2005, Hero ventured into the scooter segment with the Pleasure line. By 2009, it had rolled out close to 25 million units.

Visually, the bikes now feature a new grey colorway and updated graphics that enhance their overall appeal. A 3D “125M” plaque on the fuel tank adds a touch of exclusivity to mark the milestone.

Vida Vx2 125 Million Edition

The Vida Vx2 does not receive a new color scheme and continues with the original color options it was launched in. However, it does get a 3D “125M” plaque placed on the front apron to denote its special edition status. Aside from this visual update, no other changes have been made to the scooter.
