Yamaha Grand Filano 125cc: Yamaha has launched its Grand Filano 125cc scooter. However, it was not launched in India, but in Indonesia. As far as India is concerned, its direct competition will be the Honda Activa 125cc, but there is no word on its launch in India.
Its price in Indonesia is IDR 27 million (approximately Rs 1.46 million on the road) for the Neo variant and IDR 27.5 million (approximately Rs 1.48 million on the road) for the Lux variant. Visually, it looks like an upgraded version of the Yamaha Fascino sold in India.

For reference, let us tell you that the Fascina price in India is between Rs 79,000 to Rs 90,000. The appearance of the Grand Philano looks quite inviting. It’s a more premium offering compared to the Fascino. On its apron, there is a vertical LED element in the shape of a diamond along with an LED headlight that looks attractive.
It gets a vertical LED taillight and LED indicators. A hazard warning light function is also offered. However, there is no chrome element on the entire scooter. Instead, some elements have been left in black to give it a sporty look.
Engine
It is powered by a 125cc mild-hybrid engine that produces around 8 bhp and 10.4 Nm of output. This setup is also available on the Fascino sold in India. There is also a Start / Stop function. It has a fuel tank cap mounted on the front apron.

The volume of the fuel tank is 4.4 liters. The scooter has a luggage compartment volume of 27 liters. There is also a 12V charging socket in the front apron for charging gadgets. It has 12 inch alloy wheels.
