Maruti Suzuki Fronx has showcased an upward export trend for the past four fiscals in the market. Indian Vehicle Exports open in FY 2026 on a strong note with demand surges from Japan. The Sixth Generation Hyundai Verna, was the most exported Sedan in the FY 2025, maintains its growth in April. In April 2025, SIAM industry data has reported, a total of 59,395 cars and SUV’s and MPVs were shipped overseas which is YOY increase of 2025
Top 10 Export Vehicles
A list of Cars and SUV’s that have made it to the top 10 list of vehicle exports are as follows. Leading the flock this time around would be the Suzuki Fronx with 7,055 units , which is a 231% YOY increase, benefitting from demand from Suzuki’s overseas markets .
In second place, was the Hyundai Verna sedan with close to 5,741 units 28% YOY growth. In FY 2025,Verna’s 52,615 export units battled a close fight with Maruti Baleno. The Verna is currently in its sixth generation and sees demand in Hyundai key Global Markets.
Beyond these the other vehicles that have been able to ramp up significant export numbers have been Maruti Jimny, jimny has witnessed a strong demand from the Japanese market. In Japan the vehicle is marketed as the Five Door Nomade, the Jimny stands at the third place with 5671 units.
Below The Suzuki Jimny in the list The Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback has been listed. With its 4,229 units of export the car is ranked fourth in the top 10 export model listing and is followed by its sedan sibling the Aura.
Below the Hyundai Grand i10 the Maruti Baleno is in sixth position with its 3418 units. Baleno’s demand has gone down by 10% YOY, while the swift has witnessed a demand increase up by 18% YOY.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder a midsize SUV, which is Toyota Kirloskar Motor Second highest selling product after the Innova MPV. Below this only one other vehicle has been listed in the list. This would be the Maruti Suzuki Dzire with 2301 imports and the Volkswagen Virtus with a 2,121 units.
