NEW MARUTI ERTIGA

Launched in April 2022, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift comes with an upgraded 1.5L Dualjet petrol engine and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The engine provides a maximum power of 103 hp and a torque of 136.8 Nm. It is available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The automaker claims that the updated Ertiga offers a mileage of 20.51 kmpl with the manual and 20.30 kmpl with the automatic transmission. Its exterior and interior also received minor changes.

Prices – Rs 8.41 crore – Rs 12.79 crore

2022 MARUTI XL6

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift was launched in April this year at a starting price of 11.29 lakhs. Similar to the updated Ertiga, it will get an upgraded 1.5-litre petrol engine boosted by Dualjet technology and a mild hybrid system.

The engine contains a new 6-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the MPV features a 360-degree camera, connected car technology and ventilated front seats. Its standard safety kit includes an electronic stability program, a tire pressure monitoring system and hill start assist.

Prices – Rs 11.29 crore – Rs 14.55 crore

KIA CARENS

Kia Motor entered the affordable MPV segment with the Carens in February 2022. The model range is available in 5 variants, 3 engines and manual and automatic transmission options. It has 115 horsepower, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engine.

The diesel automatic is available with the fully loaded Luxury Plus variant and the turbo petrol DCT is available in the mid-spec Prestige Plus and the top variant. The MPV promises a fuel consumption of 16.5 kmpl (petrol) and 21.5 kmpl (diesel).

Prices – Rs 9.60 crore – Rs 17.70 crore

MAHINDRA SCORPIO N

Mahindra Scorpio N is certainly one of the main novelties of this year. The SUV range is available with 2.2L diesel (132hp/300Nm and 175hp/370Nm) and 2.0L petrol (203hp/370Nm-380Nm) engines. The 175hp diesel unit comes with three on-road driving modes – Zip, Zap and Zoom.

A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, while the turbo petrol and top-end diesel versions get a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 4WD system has the higher specification diesel variants.

Prices – Rs 11.99 Lakh – Rs 23.90 Lakh

MAHINDRA SCORPIO CLASSIC

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is essentially an updated version of the previous generation SUV model. The SUV offers two variants – S and S11 – priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh respectively. Under the hood, it uses an updated 2.2-liter turbodiesel, a Gen2 mHawk diesel engine with an output of 132 hp and 300 Nm.

Transmission functions are provided by a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra claims that the fuel economy of the new Scorpio Classic has improved by 14 percent. Its exterior and interior also underwent noticeable changes.

Prices – Rs 11.99 Lakh – Rs 15.49 Lakh

2022 MG GLOSTER

MG Motor India recently introduced its flagship SUV Gloster with minor cosmetic and functional enhancements. Prices of the facelifted model start at Rs 31.99 lakh and go up to Rs 40.77 lakh. The 2022 MG Gloster SUV has the i-Smart connected car app offering 35 new Hinglish voice commands and is compatible with Android smartwatches.

Its ADAS package gets three new features – rear cross-traffic alert, door open warning and lane change assist. Other changes include the MapmyIndia navigation system, a new Park Plus head unit app and new 18-inch alloy wheels along with a new Deep Golden color scheme.

Prices – Rs 32 crore – Rs 40.78 crore
