2025 is all set to be a big year for the automotive industry with EV launches planned throughout the year. As of yet only few of the vehicles that are about to be unveiled soon have broken cover. Here is a list of the EV’s expected to be launched in 2025.
Harrier EV
Harrier has been a successful vehicle for Tata since its launch and its EV version is expected to garner similar results for the brand . As of yet its clear that the EV variant would be powered by a Dual Motor AWD setup. For the entry level variants a single motor version would be made available as well. While the brand has not released any details about the battery size of the vehicle its apparent that the car would have a driving range of about 450-550 on a single full charge. The car would closely mimic the styling of the ICE Harrier.
Tata Safari EV
Tata has significant plans to increase the vehicles in their EV line up and hence they would be soon be adding a EV Safari in their lineup. The new safari that is set to be launched 2025 would be a EV MPV with three row seating that is particular to the Safari Moniker. Safari would have similar EV credentials as that of the harrier with a driving range of around 400 to 500 km on a Single full charge. Both Harrier as well as the Safari would cater to the EV SUV and MPV segment that as of yet has only one contender the MG Windsor.
Hyundai Creta EV
This would be the first mass market EV Vehicle to be launched by Hyundai. The brand has already been in the news with its EV launches such as he IONIQ 5 which won the green car of the year award. The EV is expected to borrow a lot of styling cues from the ICE variant of the Creta.
The vehicle would have a new façade with a EV spec grill that is a stand out feature of all EV vehicles. The vehicle would have a similar interior as that of the normal Creta, a new EV spec steering wheel along with new aero wheels. The car would have the same powertrain as that of the Kona EV, a 48 KWH battery pack that delivers a optimum output of 134 BHP and a peak torque figure of 255 NM.
Venue EV
Hyundai is seemingly working on a sub 4 meter small EV SUV that would be based on the ICE version of the Venue as well. The vehicle would have a similar design as that of the normal Venue, and would be another approach of Hyundai at pitching a affordable EV in the Indian market.
Mahindra XEV 7e
As per the news Mahindra has recently filed a trademark for an all electric XUV 700 EV. The XEV 7e would be a fully EV version of the XUV 700 with visible changes that would be based on the appearance of the XEV 9e. As per the leaked images it has become clear that the interior of the vehicle would be similar to that of the XEV 9e .
The interior would have dual tone shades along with piano black inserts in the middle of the center console. The main highlight of the interior would be the Three Screen setup for driver’s display as well as the infotainment. Mahindra has not yet revealed any of the details about the battery pack that would power the vehicle, it could be powered by the same battery pack offered in the XEV 9e.
Mahindra XUV400 EV/ XUV 4XO
The XUV 400 already received a update in 2024, but the vehicle is in talks of getting another update in 2025. The changes would be along the lines of XUV 3XO and the facelifted model would be renamed as the XUV 4XO.
The car would have substantial design changes included a revised Split LED headlight, new alloy wheels and LED tail lights. Mahindra has not yet announced the battery pack that the car would use, its possible that the car might use similar battery pack as before. The older variant has was powered by a 34.5 KWH as well as a 39.5 KWH battery pack. These battery packs provide the vehicle with a range of around 375 to 456 km.
