The latest figures from June 2023 show a remarkable 200 per cent increase in electric scooter sales compared to the previous year.
Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter Face Electric Scooter Frenzy
In June 2023, a total of 3,40,099 scooters were sold, and Honda Activa emerged as the leader in the pack. However, even the best-selling Activa experienced a dip in sales, witnessing a 29.01 per cent decrease compared to June 2022. On the other hand, TVS Jupiter’s growth was modest, with a mere 2.23 per cent increase in sales over the same period.
Electric Scooters Blaze Ahead with Triple Sales Figures
Electric scooters are clearly gaining traction in the market, with at least three electric two-wheeler brands registering an astonishing growth of nearly 200 per cent. Leading the charge is Ola, which experienced a phenomenal 198.05 per cent surge in sales last month, selling a total of 17,579 units. TVS iQube also garnered significant popularity, selling 14,462 units, a remarkable 209.88 per cent increase. Not to be outdone, Ather Energy achieved an astounding 219.81 per cent growth, selling 10,202 units of its electric scooters.
