Cooper SE, Countryman: Mini’s Next Generation EVs’ Reveal Today; Features Inside

New Delhi: Mini has finally decided on a launch date for its next-generation electric vehicle. The Cooper SE will enter its second generation and will now feature the all-new Countryman EV. Both Mini EVs will launch on September 1.

Among the details currently available, we know that the Cooper SE EV will switch to a new electric platform. It will gain in size with a longer wheelbase and wider track than the upcoming SE.
Batteries will include a 40 kWh battery for the cheapest versions with a range of 350 km, while the most powerful and expensive versions will offer a 54 kWh battery. It will deliver 215 hp and has a claimed range of 400 to 450 km.
The Majestic Crossover
As for the Countryman EV, the crossover will share the basics with the BMW iX1 and will have a 54 kWh battery as standard. The SE ALL4 version will have a larger 64kWh battery and power two motors – one on each axle.
The combined output of the larger Countryman EV is expected to exceed 300 hp. The Mini SE and Countryman SE are expected to get a more sophisticated and powerful John Cooper Works (JCW) version.
World premiere at IAA
Following their digital debut on September 1, the new electric Mini Cooper SE and Countryman SE will be on display at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Germany. They will be joined by the i Vision Circular and i Vision Dee concepts as part of the BMW Group's electric vehicle offensive.
