New Delhi: French automaker Citroen will launch its electric hatchback as its first product of the year 2023. Even before its launch, some spy pictures of its interior and features have come to the fore. This suggests that the interior layout and features of the electric C3 will be similar to its ICE model. But it will not have the facility of keyless go and automatic climate control. It will get a gear lever instead of a toggle switch. An ECO mode will also be available in this EV.
Citroen E C3 Features
The petrol model of the Citroen C3 is available in two trims namely Live and Feel. The car gets a digital instrument panel, air conditioner, front power windows with one-touch down for the driver, dual airbags, 4 speakers, speed-sensitive auto door locks, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Features like tilt adjustable steering, steering mounted controls, remote locking and roof rails are available.
Powertrain
The company has revealed that the LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cell Svolt Energy will be used for the Citroen e-C3. This electric hatchback will get an electric motor with a 30.2kWh battery pack, which will generate 84bhp power and 143Nm torque. It will get a range of 200-250 km.
Will compete with Tiago EV
Once launched, the new Citroen Electric will rival the Tata Tiago EV that comes with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs. Which is capable of giving a range of 250 km and 315 km respectively. There are three charging options available with the Tata Tiago EV, which include a 50kW DC fast charger, a 7.2kWh AC fast charger and a standard 3.3kW home charger. The car is available in XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux trims. Its ex-showroom price is between Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh.
