New Delhi: If you are planning to buy the Citroen C3, you might want to reconsider. Citroen India announced on Sunday that they are increasing the price of the C3 car. The auto company has hiked the price of the hatchback car by up to ₹17,500. If you want to buy this car, you will have to increase your budget. However, the new prices will be effective from July. This year marks the third occasion when the price of this car has been increased. In the past six months, the Citroen C3 has become expensive by up to ₹62,500.
Citroen first raised the rates of the C3 in January. After that, there was another price hike in March. The C3 was launched at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹5.70 lakh. The ex-showroom price of its top model was ₹8.05 lakh.
After the price hike in January, the starting ex-showroom price of the car became ₹5.98 lakh. On the other hand, after the increase in March, the starting ex-showroom price became ₹6.16 lakh.
Citroen C3: New Price
After the recent hike, the ex-showroom price of the C3 now starts at ₹6.33 lakh. This hatchback car comes in three variants – Live, Feel, and Shine. In addition to that, customers also get two engine options. The C3 is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. It also offers the power of a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine.
Citroen C3: Features
The car is available with a 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox option. The French auto company recently upgraded the engine of this car. Now, these engines are compliant with the BS6 Stage 2 regulations and are OBD2 compliant. It comes with features like alloy wheels, rear wiper with washer, rear parking camera, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and more.
Citroen C3 Electric Version
In India, the Citroen C3 competes with cars like the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. However, this car will also compete with Hyundai’s upcoming car, the Exter. Apart from the C3, the company also sells its electric version, the e:C3. The ex-showroom price of the e:C3 starts at ₹11.50 lakh.
