New Delhi: French automobile manufacturer Citroën has unveiled its fourth product in India, which will be named Citroën C3 Aircross. The car will be offered in two seating configurations like 5 and 7-seater. The car is based on the C3 hatchback from Citroën. But it will come bigger than that and with more space. Its length will be more than 4 meters. It will be placed below the C5 Aircross in the company’s portfolio. It can be launched around the festive season this year. After launching this car will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos and Toyota Hyrider. The price of this car is likely to be between 9 to 10 lakh rupees.
Citroen C3 Aircross Features
Although the specification details of the C3 Aircross have not been given yet, it is likely to get a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a full digital driver’s display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Also, it can get features like AC vents for second and third row, multiple drive modes, USB charging slot, day night IRVM, automatic climate control and cruise control.
Also, it is expected to get multiple airbags, rear view camera with parking sensors, electronic brake force distribution, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability program, hill hold assist and tire pressure monitoring system as safety features.
Citroën C3 Aircross Powertrain
It is also likely to get the option of a 1.2L turbo petrol engine along with the 1.2L NA petrol engine found in the C3 hatchback. It is capable of producing 82PS/115Nm and 110PS/190Nm respectively. It will get 5-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed manual transmission.
Will compete with Hyundai Creta
The 5 seater version of this car will compete with the segment leader Hyundai Creta, in which a diesel and a petrol engine option is available. Soon its facelift version is also going to hit the market.
