Helmets That Can Make You Blind
The cheap, fake helmets costing ₹300-₹400 usually have counterfeit ISI marks that people mistakenly believe are real. Being made from very poor quality material, such helmets are particularly dangerous because their visors lack UV protection, meaning they don’t shield your eyes from strong sunlight.
Since these lights are very strong, they can directly travel into your eyes from the oncoming vehicle, thus affecting vision adversely in the night. On the other side, authentic helmets have UV protection in their visors which protect one’s eyes and face from sunlight. The visors of authentic helmets are made of scratch-resistant and more durable materials. The visors of real helmets also provide better thermal protection, thus better protecting the head.
