Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and other carmakers will increase prices of their passenger vehicles. They will increase price by up to 4% starting January 2025. The carmakers will vary the price hike across different models and variants, and intend to use it to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and inflation.
“Tata Motors, India’s leading vehicle manufacturer announced today that it will take a price increase of up to 3% across its passenger vehicles portfolio, including EVs,” said Tata Motors in its press release. The company further said, “Effective January, 2025, the price increase will vary depending on model and variant, and is being taken to partially offset the rise in input costs and inflation.”
Meanwhile, several other major automobile manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, JSW Motor India, Hyundai Motor India, and Kia India, have announced plans to raise their vehicle prices effective January.
The price hikes will vary across manufacturers, with Maruti Suzuki India implementing increases of up to 4%, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) and JSW Motor India raising prices by up to 3%, and Kia India increasing vehicle prices by up to 2%. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor India has announced that it will be increasing prices of its Model Year 2025 vehicles by up to Rs 25,000, with the new prices taking effect from January 1, 2025.
