New Delhi: Chinese automaker BYD currently sells two of its products in India, including the newly launched Atto 3 premium SUV. Now BYD is planning to expand its line up globally with the launch of several new models in the coming years including new SUVs. This EV manufacturer is now making more premium cars. BYD’s next product will be a full size off-roader that will take on the G-Class.
Powertrain
Hybrid electric powertrain will be available in this car. Also, it will get a four-wheel drive system with locking differential. This new SUV will come under the F line model. The motor fitted in it will generate power of around 700 Bhp. The new SUV will be a hardcore off-roader with a ladder frame chassis. This new SUV will be capable of giving a combined range of up to 1200 km. That is, like this SUV with a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, long distances can be easily traveled.

Talking about its looks, the SUV will get a boxy look with a flat roofline and a raised SUV stance. It will also be very large in size with a length of more than 5 meters. Along with this, it will also be equipped with many features. In the coming time, this company will introduce trucks as well as other SUVs in the market. The company already sells the U8 SUV under the Yangwang brand. But the new SUV could prove to be a stronger offering, as it will get a hybrid electric powertrain instead of electric only.

When will it be launched?
The new F model SUV will hit the global markets in 2024, but the situation is not clear about its arrival in India. However, its hybrid powertrain with more range is more than enough for Indian roads. Currently, BYD is planning to introduce more models in the Indian market in the coming times. The company will launch its next product in the country in the form of the Sealed sedan, which was showcased by the company at the 2023 Auto Expo.
