New Delhi: The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV has finally been launched for the Indian market. While its prices will be revealed a month later, buyers can book it now after paying an amount of Rs 50,000. The automaker confirmed that deliveries for the first 500 units will begin in January 2023.

Priced around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Atto 3 will take on the Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV, which are priced between Rs 23.84 lakh – Rs 24.03 lakh and Rs 22.58 lakh – Rs 26.50 lakh. All prices above are ex-showroom.

Electric drive train

The new BYD electric SUV will be available with a 60kWh BYD Blade battery that provides an ARAI-certified range of 521 km on a full charge.

There is a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets generating the required power of 201 hp and a torque of 310 Nm. The version with a smaller battery capacity accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Its battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes.

Dimensions and colors

The Atto 3 measures 4455 mm in length, 1875 mm in width and 1615 mm in height. It stands on a wheelbase with a length of 2720 mm. It can be had in four color variants, namely Surf Blue, Boulder Grey, Ski White and Parkour Red.

Interior and features

The BYD Atto 3 is one of the feature-packed electric SUVs in its segment. It has a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The EV comes with a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, ADAS Level 2 technology, a 360-degree camera and wireless charging, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and mounted controls.

Features like 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 4-way adjustable passenger seat, panoramic sunroof, heated driver and passenger seats, synthetic leather seats, 8-speaker audio system, automatic climate control and PM 2.5 air filter enhance its comfort quotient.

The electric SUV has all LED lighting and electric tailgate opening. In terms of safety, the new BYD Atto 3 electric SUV offers 7 airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability program, electronic brake force distribution, anti-lock braking system, traction control, decentralized hill control, seat belt and speed warning system. warning system.
