BS6 norms: Phase 2 of BS6 norms will be introduced in the country from April 1, 2023. In this case, the same car will be sold in the market that complies with these rules. Car companies that have not updated their engine according to the new rules will not be allowed to sell them.

These cars to discontinue

According to media reports, the cars whose engines have not been updated as per the new norms are Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Honda WRV, Honda Jazz, fourth-generation Honda City and Nissan Kicks. This is the reason why the companies are liquidating their stocks of these vehicles. The companies are also in no mood to continue producing these vehicles.

Bookings closed for Nissan Kicks

The Alto 800 is a very popular hatchback car for Maruti Suzuki. However, the S-Presso has taken its place. This car is available in the market at a starting price of Rs 4.25 to 6.10 lakh ex-showroom.
