New Delhi: Recently, after several testing iterations, BMW has finally launched the bike that was spotted multiple times during testing. It is called the BMW M 1000 RR and its launch was eagerly awaited. BMW will sell this bike in the Indian market through the Completely Built-Up Units (CBU) route, making it the company’s flagship model in India. Bookings for this bike have already begun, and deliveries are scheduled for November.
The base variant of this bike will be available in two colors: Light White and M Motorsport. The competition variant will come with Blackstorm Metallic and M Motorsport Option.
The BMW M 1000 RR is powered by a 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine, which produces an impressive power of 212hp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. This bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.
In terms of features, the bike is equipped with a GPS data logger and a TFT display measuring 6.5 inches. Additionally, the bike offers customizable riding modes such as Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race, along with Race Pro 1-3.
As for the price, BMW has launched the M 1000 RR at an ex-showroom price of INR 49 lakhs, while the top variant, the Competition, is priced at INR 55 lakhs ex-showroom.
In terms of competition, the BMW M 1000 RR will rival bikes such as the Ducati Panigale V4 SP, Indian Motorcycle Pursuit, Indian Motorcycle Roadmaster, Honda Gold Wing, and others.
