New Delhi: To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic BMW M division, the Bavarian giant today launched the ’50 Jahre M Edition’ of the X7 40i M Sport in India, priced at Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV will be locally manufactured at the company’s faciity in Chennai, India.

It will be sold exclusively in petrol guise and bookings for the model have only started today. Besides, the company had earlier announced that 10 such Jahre Edition models are to be launched in the Indian market and the X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition is one of them. The new Jahre edition brings a combination of modernity, luxury and spaciousness.
The BMW X7 features a large kidney grille in high-gloss black with the iconic M emblem placed on top for an extra touch. The M emblem adorns the front and rear logos as well as the wheel hub caps.
The side view is characterized by BMW Laser Light technology with blue X-shaped elements along with large windows and an extended roofline. The contemporary look of the rear is created by horizontal lines, slim LED lights and a two-piece split boot lid.
The car is equipped with 2-axle air suspension, BMW xDrive, M Sport brake calipers in high gloss black and 21″ 752M Jet Black Alloys. It is available in striking yet elegant finishes including Mineral White and Carbon Black.

Customers can add an optional M Accessories Package, which allows enthusiasts to add an M performance steering wheel and optional Alcantara for the key fob.
With the BMW TwinPower Turbo engine in the BMW X7 40i M Sport, it produces 340 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,500 – 5,200 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds. The eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox fulfills the duty on an SUV.
