New Delhi: BMW India has launched 520 DM Sports in a new variant in its 5 series line-up in India. The ex -showroom price of this variant has been kept at Rs 68.90 lakh. But the company has closed two variants of this series. Closed variants include 520D luxury line and 50 Zahra M Edition. Now two variants like 520 DM Sport and 530 IM Sport are available in the BMW 5 series market.
BMW 5 Series 520 DM Sport features
An updated front look has been given in this new 520 DM Sport variant of BMW 5 Series. Also, its rear profile seems quite sporty. This BMW sedan’s side profile has 18 inch alloy wheels. It has an M badging on blue brake calirs and fendrs with chrome exhaust.
How are the features?
The company has given M badging on leather steering wheels and door sessions in the cabin of this car. Whereas as features, this car has the company’s laserlight technology, head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging and Harman Cardon Sound System.
How is the engine?
There has been no change in the powertrain of this BMW 5 series. In this variant too, the same 2.0-liter diesel engine has been used like other cars of this series. This engine generates 190 HP power. This engine has been paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Closed BMW 530 D and M5 Zahra
The top variant so far in the BMW 5 series lineup was 530D, with a 3.0-liter diesel engine. This engine used to generate 265 HP power. Now BMW 5 Series Midsize has become a car coming with the only four cylinder engine in the luxury sedan segment. Also, the company has closed the M5 competition variant of this series, in which 625hp power generated V8 engine was available.
Whom does it compete with?
The BMW 5 Series 520 DM Sport is in the Indian market with cars like Lexus ES, Jaguar XF and Audi A6. Lexus ES has a 2487 cc petrol engine, which generates a power of 175.67 bhp. Which is combined with automatic transmission. The ex -showroom price of this car starts from Rs 59.71 lakh.
