New Delhi: Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the new Pulsar bike on November 22, 2022. The two-wheeler has yet to reveal the name and details of the upcoming model. However, it has been testing several models for some time.
In fact, the company has trademarks including Darstar and Twinner. There is speculation that the Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer might introduce a new Bajaj Pulsar 150cc motorcycle. It will basically be an updated version of Pulsar N150 which has been tested several times.
Features
The new 150cc Bajaj Pulsar bike will feature a newly designed projector headlamp with ‘wolf-eye’ LED DRLs. While the fuel tank extension and engine cover will be similar to the Pulsar LS135, the bulbous turn signals and LED taillight will be borrowed from the new Pulsar N160.
The spotted test mule featured a two-piece seat, integrated fender, chain guard and license plate holder. The bike can be built with newly designed alloy wheels and thinner tires. It will be based on a new chassis derived from the Bajaj Pulsar 250s.
Specifications
The official specifications of the upcoming new Bajaj Pulsar 150cc motorcycle are still under wraps. However, it is expected to be offered with a new 150cc or 180cc air-cooled engine. The new engine will be more powerful and refined than the current one.
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 comes with an engine rated at 14 bhp and 13.25 Nm. To handle the suspension duties, the bike will have a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking power will be obtained from front and rear disc brakes. The bike will also be available with a rear drum brake option.
The prices of the new Pulsar 150cc motorcycle will be released next week. It is likely to be priced around Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), making it slightly more expensive than the existing Pulsar N160. The latter costs Rs 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom).
