The Bajaj has launched its electric scooter back in 2020. Since then, it is immensely popular in the two-wheeler EV market. In October 2024 it had a market share of around 20.29 per-cent. Bajaj is going to launch its new iteration of the Chetak electric with updated battery packs. Initially, the Chetak electric didn’t pick up the pace but with revised pricing and updates, the Bajaj Chetak 3 lakh sales milestone.

Bajaj Chetak Electric 2025: What’s New?

The 2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric is expected to come with completely new platform. In terms of design, the new Chetak will get minor cosmetic changes. The new platform is used to enhance the space and practicality of the scooter against its rivals. However, this new model with continue its classic design.

It is expected to be lighter than its predecessor in order to enhance the overall range. The updated battery packs will give out an expected range of 123 km and 137 km. The New Chetak is more energy efficient and advanced. According to the reports, the battery pack could move under the floor to provide better range and practicality. This new placement of the battery pack will lower the centre of gravity, which will enhance its manoeuvring and ride quality.

The current base variant of Chetak electric with 2.88 kWh battery pack is available at a price point of Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom) which goes upto Rs 1,27,244 lakh (ex-showroom) for the special edition. The 2025 model is expected to be priced lower to make it more affordable to the audience. All new Chetak electric will continue to rival against the Ola S1, Ather Rizta and TVS iQUBE.
