New Delhi: The new Bajaj CT 125X has been spotted completely naked in a dealer warehouse, suggesting that it might be launched soon.
Bajaj already sells the CT 110X and it is not yet clear whether this new model will be a new variant or a complete replacement of the 110X. Let’s see what’s new:
Bajaj CT 125X: What is Extra?
The new bike gets plethora of cosmetic changes compared to the existing model. First, it gets the 125X designation on the side, which indicates a displacement of 125cc. Compared to the CT 110X, it gets a different shade of green.
It also gets a new thicker seat with double stitching. It also has a USB charging port on the handlebars, which its sibling lacks. Although the 125X designation indicates a 125cc engine output, we expect it to be slightly below the 125cc mark.
The bike lacks a front disc brake and comes with a drum brake. The government mandated front disc brakes for two-wheelers with engine displacement above 125cc. Since the bike lacks a front disc brake, it also lacks a rear disc brake.
Apart from that, there are not many cosmetic changes on the bike compared to its sibling. The hood headlight and smooth instrument panel with fuel gauge are the same. Talking about the engine, the new engine is expected to be slightly below the 125cc mark.
It will be more powerful than the CT 110x which uses a 115cc mill that churns out 8.5PS at 7,000rpm and 9.8Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. While we don’t have any details on the new engine, we can expect it to be shared with the Pulsar 125 as that is the only other 125cc engine that Bajaj currently has in its stable.
Price
The current CT 110X is priced at ₹ 66,300 ex-showroom and we expect the CT 125X to carry a small premium over that price. Once launched, the new Bajaj CT 125X will go up against the likes of Honda SP125, Hero Super Splendor and TVS Raider.
