The Bajaj has launched Chetak electric back in 2020, since then it is immensely popular among the two-wheeler EV market. Bajaj Chetak Electric has crossed a total milestone of 3 lakh units in the market. Chetak has sold nearly 3,03,621 units according the SIAM wholesale data.
The Bajaj Chetak was a game changer for the Indian Electric two-wheeler market. It offers a blend of retro classic design with cutting edge modern technology. When it comes to performance, it offers a smooth comfortable ride along with a top speed of 63Km/h and a range of 123km in a single charge. It becomes an excellent choice for commuters.
According to the reports, Chetak has surpassed 2 lakh milestone in June 2024 and the remaining one lakh units in the last four months. Launched back in 2020, its an achievement to cross 3 lakh units marks before the completion of five years.
According to the data shared by the manufacturers, the sales number didn’t pickup initially but after reaching into FY2024, it started to rise. The Chetak has crossed 1 lakh mark back in November 2023, almost after 4 years of launch. While 2 lakh units having sold in just a year, which shows the increased popularity among the buyers.
The Bajaj Has dispatched around 1,41,885 Chetaks in the first seven months of this year. This depicts a 160% year on year increase. Coming to monthly data, the 1,01,031 units sold between July and October. A total of 20,114 units in July, 21,756 units in August, 28,517 units in September and 30,644 units in October.
In FY24, Bajaj saw a 219 percent YoY boom in sales, making the April to October total 1,41,885 units in the first seven months.
