Bajaj had introduced the all new Chetak 35 series in the Indian market in December 2024. The new scooter has been based on a new platform that Bajaj has sepcifically developed to ensure a nimble chassis while riding. The 35 series electric scooter line up consisted of three variants the 3501, 3502 and the 3503. While Bajaj had formidable plans to launch all of these variants in the market soon but at the time of the launch the prices for the Top spec 3501 and the 3502 were revealed.
As per a recent update, Bajaj has now launched the latest entry level 3503 -the most affordable variant in the 35 series lineup. The Scooter has been priced at Rs 1.30 lakh. While the mid spec variant of the scooter has been priced at a Rs 1.22 lakh Ex showroom.
The 3503 has been launched to provide the users with easy mobility at reasonable prices and hence it misses out on a lot of features that you can see on the top spec variants. But the scooter is not be completely bereft of any features, it would continue to have a LCD instrument console, hill hold assist, smartphone connectivity, Music control and the ability to take calls on the go. Beyond these, the base spec variant also has riding does which consist of Eco, Sports and other models as well.
Other features
Some of the other features that have been removed to keep the prices low include front disc brakes, Touchscreen Instrument cluster. The new scooter has been equipped with a new chassis with 25 litres of under seat storage and the metal body is also a part of the same package. The 3503 performance numbers include a top speed limited to 63 KMPH and a top range of only 155 km on a single charge. The scooter would compete against the likes of scooters such as OLA S1X, Ather Rizta S and the TVS iQube 3.4 KWH version – Deliveries of the new affordable version would start soon from the first week of May. With a formidable feature list and a extended range the Scooter could be a favorable choice for the users who seek an affordable EV scooter for their daily use.
