New Delhi: Bajaj Auto-Triumph Speed 400 Bike Launch Price in India: Veteran auto manufacturer Bajaj Auto has launched the Speed 400 bike for the Indian market on 5 July in association with British motorcycle giant Triumph. The company has kept its ex-showroom price at Rs 2.33 lakh. At the launch event, Bajaj Auto-Triumph announced that the introductory price will be applicable for the first 10,000 customers.

Deliveries to begin this month

Online pre-bookings of the Speed 400 opened last month after its premiere in London. An amount of Rs 2,000 was fully refundable in online pre-booking. The bike was unveiled a few days after Hero MotoCorp partnered with Harley Davidson and deliveries are likely to begin this month.

Designed and manufactured in Hinkley, United Kingdom, the motorcycle comes with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty and 16,000 km service interval.

Engine

It is very important for the engine to be powerful for any vehicle. Keeping this in mind, the company has introduced the Speed 400 with a new TR-series engine, which is a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit displacing 398.15 cc.

The engine produces 39.5 bhp power at 8,000 rpm and peak torque output of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It features a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.

Price 

Bajaj Auto has introduced this premium Speed 400 bike in India at a price of Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in three different color options – Carnival Red with Phantom Black, Capsian Blue with Storm Gray and Phantom Black with Storm Gray options.
