New Delhi: The 16th edition ofkicked off today with full enthusiasm and jest. The expo is jointly organized by the ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India), the apex body of the Indian auto component industry, the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and the SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers).

Technovation
The Global Platform for Future Technologies & Innovations for Automotive Industry was inaugurated by Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries along with Mr. Sunjay J Kapur, President, ACMA and Chairman Sona Comstar, Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj, President, CII and Chairman & MD Bajaj Finserv Ltd., and Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA and is themed as ‘Technovation.’
“The participation of over 800 manufacturers from over 15 countries at the 16th Auto Expo components is a testament to the success of the show and the automotive fraternity,” said Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries, at the inauguration.

“It is commendable to see the strong growth of the industry over last few years, contributing more than 2.3% to the overall GDP of the country. I am very thankful to the manufacturers for strengthening Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and making India a global manufacturing hub,” he added.
Mr. Sunjay Kapur, President, ACMA said “The automotive industry worldwide is shifting towards a greener and smarter mobility. Envisioning Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Indian auto components manufacturers must focus on R&D, innovation, and localisation, leading the way to ‘Future of Mobility’.”

The 16th Auto Expo – Components Show is themed ‘Technovation’ to synergize with these transformations focusing on electrified, digitised, sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions. We are confident that the expo will provide a world-class platform for participants to showcase their engineering capabilities and technological prowess,” he further added.
The mega show has focuses on attracting the participation of over 800 companies from 15 countries which includes Canada, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, and USA. Around 1,15,000 plus business visitors are expected to witness the four-day gala. There are pavilions dedicated to countries like France, Germany, Japan, Poland, South Korea, and the UK at the
expo.
