Audi Q8 e-tron: The Audi Q8 e-tron has made its highly anticipated entry into the Indian market. Serving as a facelifted version of Audi’s first electric SUV, the e-tron, the Q8 e-tron is available in both standard SUV and Sportback coupe SUV body styles. Its main competitor in the Indian market is the Jaguar I-Pace.
In terms of design, the Q8 e-tron showcases blacked-out grille surrounds that extend beneath the headlights, with the top portion featuring a new mesh design and Audi’s updated monochrome logo. The front bumper has been reprofiled, incorporating larger air intakes on each side. The profile remains largely unchanged, while the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback boast 20-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the vehicles feature ‘Audi’ and ‘Q8 e-tron quattro’ lettering on the blacked-out B-pillar, with redesigned bumpers and new Q8 badges at the rear.

Inside, the Q8 e-tron retains a similar layout to its predecessor. Under the hood, the Q8 e-tron houses a 114kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 600km on the WLTP cycle. It is equipped with two electric motors delivering a combined output of 408hp and 664Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 5.6 seconds. Audi offers a 22kW AC charger and supports up to 170kW DC fast charging, allowing the Q8 e-tron to achieve a full charge in six hours with AC charging or charge from 10-80 percent in approximately 31 minutes using the DC fast charger. Additionally, the Q8 e-tron retains charging ports on both sides of the vehicle.
With the discontinuation of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback now have the Jaguar I-Pace as their primary competitor in the Indian market. Audi is expected to launch the Q8 e-tron in the upcoming weeks, providing customers with an exciting electric SUV option.
