With the skyrocketing sales of new premium bikes in the market the Aprilia seems to be planning to take over the market with their new Tuono 457 in India. The bike would be offered in two new exciting colorways that have been named Piranha Red as well as Puma Grey. Bookings of the new bike have already begun for a nominal price of only Rs 10,000. Aprilia would be soon commencing the test rides of the bike soon in the first week of March 2025. 

Design Of The Bike 

The Bike has been formulated on a new 457 CC platform.  The other bike that has been built on the same platform would be the Tuareg 457. This would be an Tourer ADV motorcycle. This new rendition has been spied testing as well and might be launched soon at the EICMA in 2025.

The new bike has a completely different design to that of the Tuono 660 and the Tuono V4, as it gets a completely new street naked design language, with a new headlight design. 

Specs & Features 

As per the new design the handlebar of the new bike would be wider, the new design sits well with the overall design overhaul of the bike. Beyond the design the bike gets USD forks upfront along with a Rear Monoshock unit as well. The bike would have  a single disc system on both the ends and beyond that the bike would have a dual channel ABS wit 110 section  tires and 150 section tires at the rear. 

The powertrain of the bike is same as a 457 CC parallel Twin Liquid Cooled DOHC 4v/cyl unit seen with Rs 457. In Aprilia Tuono 457 this engine would produce about 46.9 Bhp and a peak power of around 43.5 nm. The engine would be mated to a 6 speed gearbox , a slipper clutch and a quick shifter as well. But beyond all these technical specifications the bike weighs only 175 kg setting new ballpark figures in the segment. The low power to weight ration of the bike would ensure that it rides fast and brakes effectively as well.  

This could be one of the most stand out feature of the bike, The low power to weight ratio would ensure that the bike performs well, can be easily taken around a corner and has impressive braking prowess. Its possible that the bike would be able to put down times that are similar to that of much bigger and powerful bikes.
